Synchronized Improvisation: A sound approach to effective collaboration
"When we create & play music in sympathy with others we are realigned, rebooted & restored. Ready to perform as our most creative & co-operative selves in any endeavor we choose to undertake."
-Mark Stewart
SoundstewArt facilitates community and progressive corporate workshops using music as a powerful team building exercise, fostering collaboration & cooporation in group musical settings. The word musician is too often used to discourage people from participating in their birthright as sound makers. Using Synchronized Improvisation we reconnect people to their birthright as sound makers and music emerges. And musicians!
Synchronized Improvisation simply reveals the musician present in everyone. Making music as a group is one of the most co-operative of all endeavors. Because when we play music together we have to listen. Listening is the foundation of successful collaboration.
Success is apparent or absent with every passing musical moment. Success occurs only as the result of collaborative, co-operative efforts. And because joy is the reward it then becomes the fuel for the co-operative spirit.
