I got a message from Peter Houk, the director of the MIT Glass Lab , in the Spring of 2012 tha folks at the Lab wanted to speak to me about the possibility of a collaborative project making glass musical instruments and composing music to be played upon them.

We have been at it ever since, designing and building an orchestra of glass musical instruments and creating music using the remarkable sounds the instruments produce in the MIT Glass Lab Band.
